Professor Sam Wise (DDS, MOM, MSc, MDS) is not only a proud father of four exceptionally bright sons with aspirations for a larger family, but also an avid cat owner, nature enthusiast, chess player, and wrestling fan. Professionally, he is a highly accomplished advanced general dentist, oral surgeon, and orofacial pain specialist, having graduated from premier dental institutions in Germany and the U.S. With a career spanning over two decades since his graduation in 1998, Professor Wise has built a sterling global reputation for his mastery in dental implants, aesthetic dentistry, TMJ disorders, oral surgery, and sleep apnea treatments. His credentials include three advanced master's degrees and residencies in dental implants (2011), oral surgery (2014), and orofacial pain (2018), complemented by dual board certifications in both Germany and the U.S.
Professor Wise’s teaching legacy includes his tenure as a clinical professor in the implant and oral surgery department at Münster University in Germany, where he actively contributed to both education and research. He is also a Certified Trainer in dental implants, designated by DGZI (The German Association of Dental Implantology), and holds the prestigious titles of “Expert Implantologist” and “Specialist Implantologist.” Known for his minimally invasive approach, Professor Wise opts to preserve natural teeth whenever possible. He often reminds patients who were advised elsewhere to remove healthy teeth, saying, “Even as a skilled implantologist, I cannot surpass the work of nature.”
His innovative spirit extends to patent-worthy techniques, with two patents in the works for treating sleep apnea and TMJ disorders. His unique methodology for addressing sleep apnea, a condition with significant links to hypertension, hyperglycemia, hyperlipidemia, mood disorders, and memory impairment, has proven exceptionally effective.
In his approach to dental care, Professor Wise dispels myths about the need for costly or painful procedures, maintaining that high-quality dental work can be accessible and comfortable. “My mission is to create ‘WOW!’ moments, and I strive to hear that from every patient,” he says. Professor Wise achieves this impact by harnessing advanced technologies like CAD/CAM, laser treatments, 3D-printed custom bone grafting, and computerized smile design to enhance his patients' confidence and revitalize their smiles.
